Comprehensive ADHD Assessments
At Healthy Mind Solutions, our ADHD assessment process is thorough, evidence-based, and designed to provide clarity and guidance for individuals of all ages. Our assessments follow the Australian Evidence-Based Clinical Practice Guidelines for ADHD (AADPA) and the DSM-5 TR diagnostic framework, ensuring accurate diagnosis and effective recommendations.
A comprehensive assessment considers any co-occurring neurodevelopmental, mental health, or medical conditions that may influence diagnosis or treatment.
Assessment Structure
First Appointment (up to 1.5 hours): Review of your questionnaires and ADHD history, diagnostic interview (DIVA-5 / young DIVA-5), and administration of CAARS-2 or Conners-4 questionnaires. You may bring an observer—someone who has known you for a long time, such as a parent, sibling, partner, or friend—but this is optional. Different observers may be used throughout the process if needed.
Second Appointment (up to 15 minutes): Discussion of results, questions, blood pressure check, medication education, further recommendations, and a copy of your report.
Separate Results Appointment (30–45 minutes): Diagnosis and management plan (standard review consult charge applies).
Your Clinician
Your ADHD assessment will be conducted by one of our Nurses who has undertaken additional training in ADHD. All assessments, reports, and recommendations are supervised and signed off by one of our Psychiatrist. This ensures your diagnosis and management plan are accurate, safe, and aligned with best practice guidelines.
Our team is committed to supporting you throughout the process, providing guidance, clear communication, and tailored recommendations.
