Tyler

Tyler is a long-standing health professional (Registered Nurse) practising in the Goulburn Valley region having deep connections to the local community. He has worked across a broad range of fields, organisations and departments including mental health, addiction, forensics plus general medicine. Between himself and wife they have travelled extensively through countries such as the Middle East, Europe and Southeast Asia enabling them a great understanding of culture, history, and cuisine.

APPROACH:

Tyler utilises an evidence-based therapeutic approach using modalities such as CBT, Problem-Solving Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Exposure Therapy, Mindfulness and he has an interest in neuroplasticity. He likes the client to feel empowered whilst rebuilding their confidence with autonomous solution focused outcomes, based on individual strengths. Tyler has a great depth of understanding and lived experience regarding modern world challenges and therefore, takes a realistic and sensible approach.

PRIOR EXPERIENCE

Tyler’s career highlight was previously sitting on an expert panel for the State of Victoria for a (3) year period - (VAILA) Victorian Addiction inter-hospital Liaison Association and reporting to the health minister at the time. Clinically, he has influenced our region aiding growth and improved service provision in our local community. He has a knack for interpreting trends, raw data, patterns, and anecdotal evidence. He then translates this into advocating for greater service provision in our area.
